Instagram data deletion

How to remove Coboost's access to your Instagram account and delete the data we received from Instagram.

What we delete

When you connect an Instagram account, Coboost receives its profile (username, name, photo, bio), follower counts, recent posts with their captions and insights, and an access token for publishing. Deletion removes the token, the profile details, the recent posts and insights we stored, the account's follower history, and the categories and description our AI analysis derived from them.

We keep the account's username alongside placements (ad deals) it took part in, with their prices, payouts and post results, because they are financial and contractual records we must retain. See the Privacy Policy.

Automatic deletion after a disconnect

When you disconnect an account in Coboost, or remove Coboost from your Meta settings without asking for deletion, Coboost drops the access token and stops listing the account right away. The rest of its Instagram data is kept for 30 days so you can reconnect without losing your stats; if you don't reconnect within 30 days, it is deleted automatically.

How to request deletion

  • In Meta: in your business portfolio, open Settings → Integrations → Connected apps, remove Coboost and request deletion of your data. Meta notifies Coboost and we delete the data right away. You'll get a confirmation code that you can check on this page.
  • In Coboost: disconnect the account from its page under Accounts (Settings tab). Coboost deletes its access token right away and the rest of its Instagram data after 30 days, as described above. Email us if you want it deleted sooner.
  • By email: write to support@coboost.ai from the address on your Coboost account, naming the Instagram account. We respond within 30 days.
